Built by Anchorage students.
More than 70 teens launched Youth Philanthropists Alaska at our first giving night in Anchorage.
Our story
Two students started it—many more make it work
Co-founders
Adam
Adam saw how successful “100 Women Who Care” was in Anchorage and was inspired to do something similar for teens. After some research and a push to find a partner, he teamed up with Liam to launch YPA.
Liam
Liam shared the belief that small, repeatable acts of giving matter—and helped Adam bring the idea to life by spreading the word, and recruiting students, nonprofits, and sponsors.
Credit where it’s due: this model only works because students show up—and keep showing up.
Launch Night — the first 70+
Thank you to the 70+ teens who made our inaugural meeting an outsized success!
Why this matters
Showing up with $10 may seem like a small act—but it builds the habit of giving. When students give together and choose where it goes, they see immediate impact and learn how to back causes they believe in.
If you were part of launch night and want to help again, we’d love to have you back—and bring a friend.
